About Susan Lane As I contemplated my retirement from a demanding leadership role, I knew I wanted to follow my passion. I want to work with people to help them create the life they love. I am committed to working with people to increase their happiness and satisfaction – in every stage of life. As a Transition and Retirement Coach, I work with individuals who are contemplating or experiencing life changes and transitions. As I entered my retirement transition, I found the Retirement Success Profile, workshop and follow-up coaching to be powerful tools of insight in helping me plan my next chapter of life. As a Career Coach, I help individuals to examine their lives and to determine the source of their greatest energy and interest.  I work with people to move through work and life transitions and to handle change with flexibility and grace - and to make positive and life enhancing decisions. As an Executive Coach, I work with business leaders in corporations and with entrepreneurs who own and operate their businesses. We work on what matters most to them- their personal and business effectiveness and success. I am a writer and a student of yoga and meditation.  I enjoy travel and discovering more about this amazing world and its people.   Before Coaching Professionally I bring more than thirty years of business experience to my coaching clients, having held leadership roles in many organizations.  I have first hand experience in helping individuals to be more effective in their work and in their lives. I served as the top Human Resources executive for Premera Blue Cross, Restaurants Unlimited and Merrill Lynch Family Life Insurance.  I have a practical knowledge of what it takes to be successful in today's world. I have extensive background in management and organizational consulting, having served as a Manager and consultant with Deloitte for a number of years.   In additon to a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, I have a Certificate in Career Counseling from the same university. I am a graduate of Corporate Coach University (CCU) and am Certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF).  I am a certified Retirement Coach by Retirement Options.
